Jack Dorsey appeared as a guest on a podcast with an anti-vaxxer.
The CEO of Twitter, who has insisted over the past year to emphasize the fact that Twitter is doing everything in its power to fight the wave of false information on its platform, has recorded a podcast with personality of fitness, Ben Greenfield.
Greenfield tweeted last month that "vaccines cause autism," an unfounded theory defended by the "anti-vaxx" movement. Greenfield also encouraged people to be wary of Snopes, his website.
The dissemination of anti-vaccine messages online has been greatly relieved recently by the outbreak of measles cases. Facebook announced last week that it would act by blocking ads containing erroneous information about vaccines. He also promised to disable the recidivist ad accounts.
Last month, YouTube announced that it banned the broadcast of ads in any videos promoting anti-vaccine content, believing that such content was "harmful or harmful".
Greenfield said in a tweet that his podcast with Dorsey covered, "advanced stress reduction tactics, time-saving workouts, cold bottles, hormesis, one meal a day and more." Dorsey answered to say that the couple had a "good conversation".
"I appreciate everything you do to simplify the mountain of health-enhancing research! Recognizing for you," added Dorsey.
A source familiar with the registration told NBC that the subject of vaccinations had not been addressed. The podcast is due March 23rd. Twitter was not immediately available for comment.
