GamesBeat recently interviewed Tretton about his new projects and independent games, but one issue in particular caught our attention. When asked what he thought of Sony at the present time, he said that the company was "very well placed" and that the announced technical specifications of the PS5 "looked awesome" . Despite its strong position, however, Tretton believes that the holder of the platform will face "more exponential competition than the one he suffered the last time".
