Trevor Lawrence expressed his support for Urban Meyer on Wednesday amid the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach controversy at an Ohio bar over the weekend where a woman was seen dancing near his knees.
While Jaguars team owner Shad Khan said Meyer had to “win back our trust and respect”, Lawrence said Meyer was still his head coach and he still had respect for him.

“Not really,” Lawrence said when asked if the incident affected Meyer’s ability to lead the team. “I mean, I feel like the squad was exactly the same. We had a half day on Monday, we were off yesterday, and then obviously today we were sort of back at full speed so I think everything went as usual, I think we worked out fine.
“At the end of the day I can speak for myself for sure, and I know most of the team thinks that way, he’s still my head coach. I always respect him no matter what. Passing. Like I said, we’re a team and we’re in the process of finding out, so it’s all good. We had a great training day today and we’re still working. “

Meyer addressed the team and Lawrence said the meeting went well.
“I thought it was great. I thought he had done a really good job, that he handled it well, that he was just up front with us and I think that was the best way to do it. handle, which he did. I think that’s where you can go, ‘Okay, next thing. Let’s move on.’ We have to keep working and improving and that’s what we are doing, so I think we are well placed as a team, “he added.
The Jaguars are mired in the video scandal, but a win could put it all behind them.

Jacksonville enters week five of the NFL season without a win. Jacksonville was given an extended leave after playing last Thursday night. The team will host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
