James ‘Sloppy’ Floyd building in downtown Atlanta evacuated following threat letter – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – Channel 2 Action News has learned that the James “Sloppy” Floyd building in downtown Atlanta is due to be evacuated due to a threat letter.

The Georgia State Patrol confirmed the incident saying:

“A threat letter has been received at one of the offices and they are taking precautionary measures to evacuate the building.”

Georgia Senate Republicans tweeted about the threat Thursday afternoon, saying the building “houses thousands of state employees.”

The James Floyd Building, also known as Twin Towers, is being evacuated due to a threat letter received by one of the facility’s offices today.
