Jeep just teased the production of a V-8 Wrangler

In July, we announced that Jeep’s Wrangler 392 Concept V-8 was going to be produced. Jeep made it clear today.

The company today posted a video to Instagram that featured the distinctive hum of a V-8 booming towards the horizon. The caption simply read “Production model shown. Available in 2021 ”.

The Wrangler Rubicon 392 concept, revealed this summer, boasted 450 horsepower and a 0-60 time in under five seconds. Whether or not those numbers translate directly into the final production car, expect this to be a surprisingly fast Jeep that retains the trail-prep capabilities of the rest of the modern Wrangler lineup.

It will be the first Jeep in the flagship V-8 lineup since 1981. If an official Instagram teaser is to be believed, it should be available as early as next year.
