Tampa Bay will not be well rested for today’s game in Carolina.
The Buccaneers team’s plane was delayed at the airport for so long that they eventually caught another plane that took them to Charlotte more than seven hours late.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Buccaneers were due to arrive in Charlotte at 4 p.m. EST, but arrived at 11:15 p.m.
It’s not ideal for a 1 p.m. kick-off. The Buccaneers will likely give players more time to sleep this morning and adjust pre-game plans accordingly.
The Buccaneers are coming off a 38-3 beat to the Saints and were motivated to come out strong this week, but their road trip has not started well.
