Jeff Bezos rocket launch celebrated with space-themed party

Lauren Sanchez is throwing a huge fancy dress party this weekend to celebrate the successful space launch of the handsome Jeff Bezos, Page Six has exclusively learned.

The 57-year-old Amazon founder’s party will have an “Out of This World” theme, and his guests will have to dress to impress.

The party takes place in California, and we’re told she’ll be celebrating the billionaire’s 10-minute trip to space last month alongside her younger brother, Mark.

The news comes after Bezos lost his title as the richest man in the world, supplanted by French fashion mogul Bernard Arnault of LVMH, whose net worth recently hit $ 195.8 billion, while the fortune de Bezos is listed at $ 192.6 billion, according to Forbes.

Amazon stock fell 7.6% last Friday after the company reported its second quarter results Thursday afternoon, reducing its founder’s net worth by $ 13.9 billion in a single day.

But Bezos will ignore that this weekend as he celebrates his space mission alongside Sanchez, who would now be his fiancee.

The father of four sadly left his wife, MacKenzie Scott, for Sanchez in 2019 – and the entertainment reporter, 51, was seen kissing her after his space capsule landed in the remote desert of the West Texas on July 20 in front of his family.

Sanchez was also pictured wearing a massive diamond ring on her engagement finger the second time she wore it.

“I wasn’t that nervous, but my family was a little anxious about it, and so, it was actually so sweet to be hugged by them after landing, especially my kids and Lauren. and my mom and dad and really all of you, ”Bezos said after returning to Earth.

While it’s unclear where Bezos is hosting the party, he has more than enough room in his Beverly Hills home.

In February 2020, Bezos broke a California record with his $ 165 million purchase of the Warner Estate, a piece of Hollywood history that once belonged to billionaire David Geffen.

Then, in July 2020, Bezos bought a $ 10 million house next to the Warner Estate, giving him the opportunity to create a huge resort.

Bezos stepped down as CEO of Amazon last month, although he remains the chairman of the company.

He went on to become the second billionaire in just over a week to go to space after Sir Richard Branson narrowly beat him.

Unlike Branson’s piloted rocket plane, Bezos’ capsule was automated and did not require any official personnel on board for the flight.

His rocket, New Shepard, operated by his company Blue Origin, reached an altitude of about 66 miles, more than 10 miles higher than Branson’s ride on July 11.

The 60-foot booster accelerated to Mach 3 or three times the speed of sound to get the capsule high enough before it split apart and landed upright.

Passengers had several minutes of weightlessness to float around the spacious white capsule before returning to Earth.

Bezos was joined by his brother and Wally Funk, 82, one of 13 female pilots who underwent the same tests as the NASA Male Astronaut Corps in the early 1960s, but were never in space.

Dutchman Oliver Daemen, 18, replaced at the last minute the mysterious winner of a $ 28 million charity auction who withdrew at the last minute, leaving Daemen’s father to buy him a seat.

“Best day of my life!” Bezos said when he hit the ground.
