Joan Collins, 87, ‘delighted’ to receive COVID-19 vaccine

Joan Collins has received the COVID-19 vaccine, she told fans on Sunday.

87 year old man Dynasty star posted a photo of herself – wearing a mask and floral print dress – receiving the hit at a London doctor’s office.

The English actress told fans she was “thrilled” to receive the vaccine, which she said came from AstraZeneca. This vaccine was approved by the UK in late December, but has yet to be approved in the US, where it is under vaccine testing.

The British lady called her vaccination a “painless and transparent procedure” which she performed on “the same day as our queen” in reference to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip announcing on Saturday that they had also received the vaccine.

Among other notable celebrities in the UK – which prioritizes citizens 80 and over, after residents and staff of nursing homes – actor Ian McKellen, 81, said he was “euphoric” receive their first tour in mid-December and Great British Pastry Fair judge Prue Leith, 80.

Collins also told Instagram followers that she will appear on Good Morning Britain on Monday to share more details about her vaccination experience.
