Joe Burrow Injury News: Bengals QB takes scary hit against Packers but shakes it up

[ad_1]

The Cincinnati Bengals had a brief fear of injury after seeing Joe Burrow take a brutal blow to the Green Bay Packers.

At the end of the second quarter with Cincinnati facing a 3rd and 12th, Burrow tried to rush for the first down but took a huge hit just before the marker, then stayed on the pitch for about a minute. He managed to get hit low to the knee and high on the helmet, which could have been a helmet-to-helmet penalty but was not called out.

Fortunately, Burrow finally stood up and headed for the sideline for further evaluation in the blue medical tent. After a few minutes, Burrow got out of the tent and returned to the bench with his helmet in hand.

The team has since announced that Burrow is cleared to return, so it seems it was nothing more than taking his breath away.

After a torn ACL at the end of the 2020 season, the last thing Burrow and the Bengals need is for him to suffer another major injury.
