DeGuglielmo, 52, has 28 years of coaching experience, including 15 in the NFL. He was a Giants staff member under Tom Coughlin from 2004-2008. DeGuglielmo left the Giants in 2009 to become the offensive line coach of the Miami Dolphins, then coached by Tony Sparano, who was the last of his three O-line coaches at the BU He spent three years with the Dolphins before to join the Jets in 2012 as their line coach.
In 2014, DeGuglielmo joined a third team for the AFC East when he was named the Patriots offensive line coach. This season, New England beat Seattle in Super Bowl XLIX. The following year, the Pats lost the AFC Championship game to the Denver Broncos.
Starting in 2016, DeGuglielmo coached the offensive lines of the San Diego Chargers, Miami (2017), Indianapolis Colts (2018) and Dolphins again.
The Giants have a young line that includes first-round draft pick Andrew Thomas, who has been the left tackle starter since joining; third-round selection Matt Peart, who played on two-point tackles; and fifth-round pick Shane Lemieux, who started the last three games at left guard.
