Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden is ready to step out of the Antonio Brown era of the franchise.

After his 24-16 win over the Denver Broncos on Monday night, Gruden attempted to end the situation while wishing the best of luck to Brown's new team, the New England Patriots:

"As much as people talk about it, I mean, my god, man, I feel like someone crushed my temple on the temple." "Let yourself go, man." It's over, you know, we were good in the preseason without him, everything will be fine without him, and we wish him the best.

"You know, we tried it, now New England has its turn, good luck to them, I can not take it anymore."

It is understandable that Gruden is taking this approach given all that he and the Raiders have experienced since Brown's acquisition of the Pittsburgh Steelers in March.

Brown missed the majority of the training camp and the pre-season after suffering frostbite on his feet after failing to wear appropriate shoes in a cryotherapy machine. He also found himself in a prolonged conflict with the NFL in the hope of being able to wear his favorite helmet, which is no longer approved by the league.

The 31-year-old was almost suspended after having "enters"with GM Mike Mayock last Wednesday after calling publicly the organization to impose a fine. Although the Raiders refused to suspend him for the Mayock incident, they paid him well.

Gruden found himself in the center of all the attention on Friday when Brown posted a video of a private conversation between him and the coach, Gruden telling the general public "please stop this game and just play football " (contains the NSFW language):

The video also featured Gruden asking Brown if he wanted to become a Raider.

"Dude, I'm trying to be a Raider since the first day," Brown said. "… I do not know why it's a question of me as a Raider … it's like, do you want me to be a Raider?"

Less than 12 hours after the video was released, Brown request his release after a fine canceled the money guaranteed in his contract. The Raiders acceded to his request soon after.

Brown then accepted a contract with New England a few hours after his release from Oakland.

Releasing Brown rid Gruden of what had become an incessant headache. Now Brown is heading to Foxboro, where Patriots coach Bill Belichick is known for his simple operations.
