EXCLUSIVE: After seven years Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Justice, Chicago P.D. Star Jon Seda leaves the famous NBC television series franchise. We also leave Chicago Med Co-stars Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling. All three leave as regulars of the series. As is always the case in Dick Wolf's television universe, they could come back for appearances as guests. All three Chicago The series have been renewed for next season.

According to sources, distribution gaps stem from creative reasons related to the evolution of the characters' story.

Jon Seda in Chicago P.D.

Jon Seda

Seda, who plays detective Antonio Dawson, was one of the original stars of Chicago P.D. He began as a recurring on the mothership the Chicago fire before him and Jason Beghe were spun to anchor spin-off Chicago P.D. as the leads. Seda is gone Chicago P.D. midway through season 4 to join the new series of legal series Chicago Justice. He returned to Chicago P.D. at the beginning of season 5 in regular series as a result of the cancellation of Chicago Justice after a season. He was part of a number of crossovers between Chicago shows.

Colin Donnell

Colin Donnell

I hear the feeling that the character of Seda on Chicago P.D. was played, leading to the departure of the actor. But he is very much appreciated by the producers and it is possible that he finds himself in another Dick Wolf show.

Donnell performed the usual character of the series, Dr. Connor Rhodes, a cardiothoracic surgeon and traumatologist (he started as a trauma trainee) at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center on Chicago Med since the launch of the series in 2015.

Norma Kuhling

He also made appearances as a character in a total of four episodes of Chicago P.D. (seasons 3 and 4) and four episodes of the Chicago fire (seasons 4, 6 and 7).

Kuhling appeared for the first time under the name of Dr. Ava Bekker during the season 2 of finale of Chicago Med as recurrent. She went up to a regular series at the start of season 3.

UPDATE: Donnell has confirmed his departure on Twitter by retransmitting the story of Deadline.
