Jon Voight says President Trump ‘is the only man who can save this nation’

Actor Jon Voight has said President Trump is “ the only man capable of saving this nation ” in a passionate plea against the Biden administration.

Voight made the remarks on Twitter in a two-minute video, in which the 81-year-old praised Trump and suggested the Democrats wanted to “ destroy America. ”

Sitting in front of an American flag, Voight calmly warns that “we are heading down a street that has no name now. We must not allow our nation to collapse.

“Let me warn you all that we are in great danger if we fall under a Biden administration.”

In his attack on Democrats, Voight directly targets Governor Gavin Newsom, who has been criticized for his coronavirus restrictions and, most recently, a month-long 10 p.m. curfew in California.

“ Our state California is run by a leftist mob and the Newsom government is taking away our freedom – your freedom, ” said Voight, a staunch Trump supporter and Republican.

“It is a shame for mankind. He and his relative, Nancy Pelosi, who tried to bring down President Trump.

“Gov. Newsom has destroyed many lives of people who depended on their business, and now he wants to shut down again. It is a lie, like all the left trying to destroy the United States. I ask everyone to fight this battle now, to get them out.

Newsom, whose aunt had been married to Nancy Pelosi’s brother-in-law for 15 years by CalMatters, has implemented the statewide curfew to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

There has been an increase in infections, with cases reaching over 1.1 million and a death toll of 19,000.

But some residents said the ordinance violated their rights. Last week, dozens of pro-Trump supporters rallied along the Pacific Coast Highway to fight the restrictions.

“We have to get Governor Newsom out. It destroys the freedom of the people. We need to remember who we are.

Voight, whose role in Midnight Cowboy and Deliverance catapulted him to Hollywood fame, then noted that he had come under close scrutiny by his peers for being so outspoken.

“I was attacked by my comrades, saying that I preach violence. When the truth is, they all are – the left is burning and destroying our cities, ”Voight said.

“We are ready to fight for freedom, not for the freedom to burn the flag, but to raise it with this glory of the land of the free.

He then added: ‘Let the truth show that President Trump is the only man who can save this nation. ”

This isn’t the first time Voight has publicly praised Trump while blasting Democrats in one fell swoop.

Like James Woods, Voight is one of a group of Hollywood actors who have lent their support to Trump and broken ranks with other liberal-leaning figures.

Voight recounted a video that kicked off the first night of the Republican National Convention in August. In November 2019, Trump awarded Voight a National Medal of the Arts for his contribution to entertainment.

Ahead of election day, Voight called Biden “ evil ” and claimed that the indications that he won the 2020 race were “ the biggest cover-up ever. ”

This echoes comments from Trump, who said on Saturday that the Biden-Harris administration could only enter the Oval Office if it “ proved ” that the 80 million votes were not fraudulent.

“Biden can only enter the White House as president if he can prove that his ridiculous ‘80,000,000 votes’ were not obtained fraudulently or illegally. When you see what happened in Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Milwaukee, massive voter fraud, he has a big, intractable problem! Trump tweeted.

Trump did not concede in the election despite Biden’s lead with the Electoral College and the popular vote.

The Trump campaign has raised allegations of massive electoral fraud, but has yet to produce evidence. State officials said the elections went smoothly and attempts to take a legal position failed.

Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, has become the face of court proceedings this month. He organized press conferences, but they were bogged down by malfunctions of hair and rooms.

But the Biden-Harris administration has tried to get things done, with Biden announcing potential candidates for national security posts.
