During a 10-10 game in the eighth inning, Jonathan Lucroy, receiver of the Angels, tried to keep things in place while he was waiting for the ball during a fly bag, but he slid to his right and ended up paying dearly.

Jake Marisnick of the Houston Astros grabbed his face with his shoulder and knocked out Lucroy as he lay on the ground.

Marisnick was called for the room even though it was never tagged after a criticism. LeCroy would be shipped and sent to a local hospital in Houston.

After the match, Angels manager Brad Ausmus called for Marisnick's suspension.

"It certainly did not look like a play," Ausmus told reporters after the Angels' loss, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register. "It looked like Marisnick had stepped to the left and got in with her arm raised. … MLB should probably take a look at it and consider a type of suspension, quite frankly. "

Marisnick did not feel well after the match.

"It was a bad piece for me," said Marisnick, according to Mark Berman of FOX 26 Houston. "I was running and I see him taking a step forward, as if he were going to fall and come back. I have therefore tried to take a kick and slide the head first on the inside corner (of the plate). I looked at the room again … it just fell right in front of me.

"It's terrible.I wish him the best.I hope he's fine.I will join him …"
