TAMPA, FL (FOX 13) – A Hillsborough County judge ruled Thursday that Noah McAdams, age 3, would not be returned to his parents, at least for the time being.
He will stay with his grandparents for the moment.
"We do not think it is a fair or equitable resolution, but we have the ability to fight," said lawyer Michael Minardi.
"It's awful, I could not sleep or eat at all, I was a nervous wreck," said the boy's mother, Taylor Bland-Ball.
The family is battling a legal battle after a frenzied search in several states for the boy and his parents earlier this week.

Their son was diagnosed with leukemia. After two cycles of chemotherapy, the doctors said Noah was technically cancer free. However, the doctors wanted to continue the treatment.
Noah's parents did not agree with the doctors on what to do. In the end, a judge ordered Noah to be processed and an appointment was set for April 22.
Instead of going to court-appointed appointments, Noah's parents took him to Kentucky looking for alternative treatments.
"Seeing that he did not have cancer cells in his body, we said we needed to find a different treatment that would not hurt as much," said Bland-Ball.
"We have to end the fact that chemotherapy is the only treatment for people with cancer, especially in Florida.We have medical marijuana-based cannabis, which are viable options," he said. Minardi.
Parents will be allowed to visit the grandparents' house and the hospital where they plan to see Noah on Thursday night. In the future, they know that their legal fight is still far from over.
"We are certainly asking for a lot more to get our baby back," said Bland-Ball.
