Judge Ends Measles Emergency Order in Rockland County

A judge granted a temporary restraining order to suspend the measles emergency order in Rockland County, which temporarily prohibited unvaccinated children from traveling to public places.

The lawsuit stated that Rockland officials had exceeded their authority with the 30 – day emergency order prohibiting children under 18 years of age from schools, places of worship and children. other public places not to have been vaccinated against measles.

A committee made up of six leading Hasidic rabbis from Rockland County issued a statement urging residents of their community to be vaccinated against measles, but family lawyers still asked a Supreme Court judge for 39 state to temporarily declare this order invalid.
