Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the center of the Hall of Fame, has four N.B.A. championship rings and other souvenirs at auction.
Abdul-Jabbar, 71, wrote on his website this month that "a lot of the proceeds" would benefit his Skyhook Foundation, a charity that helps kids learn science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The rings are those he won with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1980, 1985, 1987 and 1988. Abdul-Jabbar also won the league championships in 1971 with the Milwaukee Bucks and in 1982 with the Lakers.
