Rockets launched off Cape Canaveral will soon be on the Space Coast for the first time this year as SpaceX launches its Falcon 9 rocket for Indonesian satellite operator PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN) and Israeli non-profit SpaceIL Thursdaythe 21st of February.

But the long-awaited demonstration flight of the Crew Dragon test flight and SpaceX's Falcon 9 is perhaps even more exciting than the return of launches.

While rocket fire resumed this week from a temporary break, the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex has released special viewing opportunity packages for guests attending the unprepared test flight.

Commercial Aerospace Companies, SpaceX and Boeing, in partnership with NASA, have once again sent US astronauts to the International Space Station, which has not been done since 2011.

NASA's Commercial Crew Program will be the first time that commercially designed and operated US spacecraft will be designed for humans and will be moored to the space station. However, prior to any crewed mission, SpaceX and Boeing must perform unmanned flight tests to ensure that they are ready for subsequent crew missions.

SpaceX Demo-1 flight tests are not scheduled until March 2, while Boeing Orbital's unmanned flight tests are not scheduled until April.

If flight tests meet the requirements of NASA, the world could see a crewed mission in July.
