Kennesaw State Hosts 20th Anniversary of September 11

KENNESAW, Georgia (Sep 2, 2021) – Kennesaw State University will commemorate the 20e anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 with a pair of commemorative events. A remembrance ceremony with star speaker Gina Young, former FBI special agent, on September 10 will kick off the celebrations, followed by a concert performance on September 11.

September 11 Remembrance Ceremony

Gina Young was an FBI special agent in New York on the morning of September 11, 2001, when two airliners struck the World Trade Center. Young, a first responder, will share her memories of that day with the university community as they come together to remember and honor the victims, survivors and those who rushed to help.
