Kentucky Fried Chicken explodes in North Carolina and his camera is filmed

The surveillance video captured the moment when a fried chicken in Kentucky exploded in North Carolina, reducing the fast-food restaurant to ruins.

The blast occurred around 12:30 pm Thursday in Eden, about 35 miles north of Greensboro. The Eden police said the restaurant was closed from 22:15 to 22:30. and no one was inside when he was destroyed.

No casualties have been reported, the authorities said.

A video from Eden Drug, a pharmacy located next to the KFC, showed that the building had been broken by a large explosion as debris flew through the air. A photo published by the Eden police on Facebook showed the store reduced to a partial frame.

"We are devastated by this incident, but we are especially grateful that all members of our restaurant team are safe and that no one has been hurt," said a KFC spokesman in a statement.

Affected employees will have the choice to go to work in six KFC restaurants in the area "to minimize disruption to their work schedules and pay them", while the Eden location is rebuilt said the spokesman.

The KFC Foundation Family Fund will also provide additional assistance to eligible employees, including transportation and other expenses.

Eden Mayor Neville Hall told NBC affiliate WXII in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, that he was several miles away and was still feeling the blast. He said residents and store employees are lucky.

"It's hard to see and think you can be lucky for anything," he said, pointing out that if the explosion had occurred a few hours later early, the restaurant would have been "packed with people".

Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of the blast. WCNC, affiliated with NBC, based in Charlotte, NC, announced that energy and natural gas crews had arrived at the KFC shortly after the blast.
