It has been shared thousands of times.
A mother was praised for her candid words after her stain on how "it's like that depression" has become viral.
Brittany Ernsperger, who runs The Relatable Mom blog started the post by explaining how she lives with depression and anxiety.
She wrote:
"This is what depression looks like."
"No. Not the dishes clean, but that there were first so many dishes;"
She went on to explain how, a few days ago, she had " sitting on the kitchen floor and staring at them while I cried. "
:
" I knew they had to be done. I wanted to do them so badly …
"But the depression made me fall, it sucked me, like a black hole … Quickly, I poured fine sand .
"I walked them morning and night and all day. And just watched them. Telling me that I could do them. I thought I would
"And feeling defeated every day that I did not do it."
"Making depression even worse because not doing something that needs to be done is a failure"
Piece of sh * t Incompetent, Stupid, Lazy
"All Things That go through the mind of someone suffering from depression. All Day .Long. "
In this heartbreaking message, Brittany describes how she lives with the fear that her husband will leave her; how she is afraid to invite people to her home; and she feels like she's failing her kids "because for the 3rd night in a row you do not have clean dishes to cook dinner … so the pizza is."
She added:
"And worst, it's not just the dishes, the laundry, the cleaning, the dressing, the shower, the children's clothing, the brushing teeth and teeth, normal daily tasks.
"It's all nightmarish, a very daunting task, one day it's not done at all."
She ended up explaining how she wanted to share the post to offer words of encouragement to others.
She said:
] "Depression is something that" strong "people do not talk about because they do not want people to think that They are "weak."
"You are not weak, you are strong for a long time and through so many things, that your body needs a break.
"I do not even care if the only thing you did today was to put some deodorant in. I'm proud of you for that, good job, I'm in your corner. am on your side.
"I'm not looking for sympathy, not in the least.
But I let everyone know that I'm here for you, I understand. Talk to, I'm always here to help you. "
