The African Football Confederation gave details of the revised schedule of the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup.

The winner of the CAF Champions League will be directly registered in the group stage of the 2018/19 edition of the competition, as part of an offer from the African Football Confederation ( Caf) to reduce the congestion of the devices. Caf's general secretary, Amr Fahmy, said that this decision is unique and only applies to the League of Champions 2018 due to schedule changes of the annual continental competitions.

The current Champions League and the African Confederation Cup are the latest to be held during a calendar year.

This ends five decades of the February tradition and ends at the end of the year.

The next editions will mark the change of dates as decided by Caf after overwhelming suggestions at the conference last year in Rabat

Fut The Champions League and Confederations Cup competitions will take place from August to May, following the same schedule as most of the major African leagues and also the European club competitions.
