Aston Villa is expected to receive a "significant investment" from businessmen Nbadef Sawiris and Wes Edens.

Owner Tony Xia held talks to relinquish some of his control of the club to the company's pair, NSWE.

The negotiations are now successfully completed and Xia will become co-chair under a co-ownership agreement.
