In April 1987, Princess Diana shook hands with a man diagnosed with HIV, sending a powerful message to counter the stigma attached to it.
Inspired by the act, Conor Collins, an acclaimed artist, painted a portrait of the late Princess but with HIV-positive blood and diamond dust.

Now, the portrait has become viral on social media.
Collins chose to paint the princess with the blood of HIV to oppose the stereotypes surrounding the disease that plagues society.
