Schurrle in talks to leave Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund confirmed that André Schurrle had eliminated the victory of the International Champions Cup on Manchester City while he was talking with another club.

The Bundesliga won a 1-0 win over Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions at Soldier Field, Mario Gotze scored the only goal from the penalty spot, but Schurrle played no role in the match.

Dortmund tweeted later via his official account to say that the 27-year-old striker "was not in the team because he is excused because of negotiations with another club".

Athletic Director Michael Zorc later revealed that they had spoken to Schurrle and informed him that he was surplus to the requirements for the coming season.

"We spoke openly about the situation with Andre He has plenty of options in broad positions and that plans go in a different direction," he said, as reported by Bild.

Schurrle, which cost a fee of 30 million euros when he joined Wolfsburg in J Uly 2016, was linked to a return to the Premier League.

The former man from Chelsea was suggested as a possible weight in a deal for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.

According to reports in Germany, Dortmund will ask for a tax of around 20 million euros for Schurrle, whose contract expires in 2021.
