Tanzanian songwriter, television and radio presenter Vanessa Mdee and her musician boyfriend Juma Jux shared a romantic kiss on stage after a thrilling performance over the weekend. Unfortunately for lovebirds, the public display of affection is frowned upon and there is a strict regulation pbaded by the Tanzanian government that prohibits the display of intimate photos online.
The lovebirds who recently gathered early this year after six months of separation decided to spice things up on stage. Jux and Vanessa kneeled and kissed pbadionately as the crowd cheered them on. The couple then released a photo of the kiss on social media
The Communications Regulatory Authority of Tanzania known as (BASATA) now comes after them for posting "provocative photos" on networks social. According to Godfry Mngereza, General Manager of Basata, the picture was provocative and they would not turn a deaf ear.
It is unclear what steps will be taken against the two artists, but the commission warned other artists to post such photos social media insist that they will hunt them down to defend morality.
