The Health and Welfare Committee of the National Assembly voted at a meeting the following year's budget, which addresses the extension of family allowances and the payment of birth incentives.
Since September, family allowances have been paid to 100,000 won per month for children under 6 years of age.
Beginning next January, it will be paid regardless of the level of income, and from next September, it will be extended to less than 9 years.
In addition, starting next October, we will pay the grant of 2.5 million won, which corresponds to the average cooking rate after birth, to the mother each time she gives birth.
We have increased more than 630 billion won on the budget presented by the government to solve the serious problem of low fertility.
The ruling party and the opposition parties are trying to look into related laws at the regular session of the National Assembly and plan to pay child allowances and birth incentives as planned.
In the meantime, the process of revising the budget of the National Assembly, which had been rumored as a result of a government request for government measures to fight the deficit of 4 trillion of won tax revenue, resumed in three days.
The review subcommittee said the government would report on countermeasures until the committee meeting to coordinate the issues.
