Next month, Paju ~ The opening of Yeoncheon will be connected to Pocheon next year

As a result, only 13.9 km of Yeoncheon Jeokok ~ Pocheon Younggeo area are under construction in Paju ~ Yeoncheon ~ Pocheon ~ Gapyeong.
In this section, construction is up more than 70% and is expected to open late next year.
Highway 37 is an artery connecting the northern part of Gyeonggi-do to five south-north roads, including National Highway 1, National Highway 3, Highway 43, Highway 47 and Highway 46.

In 1999, the Seoul Metropolitan Development Administration began to expand the project into six sections.
Paju Dupo ~ Daji (10.6 km), Dajji ~ Aptitude (4.5 km), Aptitude ~ Yeoncheon (17.8 km), Jeongok ~ Pocheon Youngjung (13.9 km), Yeongjung ~ Ildong (7.1). And Cheongpyeong (19.1 km).
Of these, the three sections of Dupo ~ Duzi, Duzi ~ Aptitude, Yeongjong ~ Ildong were completed in 2006 ~ 2007 and the section of Ildong ~ Cheongpyeong was opened in 2011.
The opening of the entire northern part of Gyeonggi Province will reduce travel time between Paju and Gapyeong from 2 to 3 hours.
Local governments, such as Yeoncheon County, which suffers from poor roads and attractive businesses, are expected to make a major contribution to the revitalization of the local economy as the entire section of Gyeonggi North Line is opened.
A Yeoncheon-gun official said, "Highway 37 is one of Yeoncheon's most important roads." It is expected that the road infrastructure will not be available, "he said.
