"Tiger Woods" was stunned on the first day of the tournament organized by his foundation.
Woods was fourth in the first round of the Hero World Challenge at the Albany Golf Club in New Providence, Bahamas, with four birdies, two points of view and a triple-shot in the first round.
It was the second of 18 players in total.
The contest will be run only by the Tiger Woods Foundation of 18 players, including the top four champions, top ranked players in the world, defending champions and sponsor sponsors.
Patrick Reid and Patrick Cantley, who shot 7 under the average for the first day,
Henrik Stenson and Dustin Johnson were in third place behind the normal 4-under.
Justin Rose was in seventh place on par 2.
