The Health and Welfare Committee of the National Assembly decided to significantly increase the number of family allowances.

At present, 100,000 won a month are paid out of the top 10% of the income of children under 6, but from January of next year, regardless of income we decided to pay everything.

The age of payment will be extended from next September and all children under 9 will receive 100,000 won per month.

As a result, the budget for child allowance for the following year was set at KRW 2 400 billion, an increase of KRW 5 billion from KRW 1 900 billion.

The ruling party is also planning to introduce a grant for childbirth, which will support 2.5 million won for the mother starting in October next year.

A budget of 103 billion won was recently formed.

The Committee on the Budget and the Budget of the National Assembly is still deliberating; the schedule and the amount can therefore be adjusted.

However, it is highly likely that all three bargaining parties will be adopted by the standing committee as promised in the FT settlement process.

In the meantime, the so-called meeting of the preliminary committee of the National Assembly, which had been the subject of a rumor for the third day, resumed yesterday (August 28), but it is difficult to meet the deadline.
