Genesis G70 ∙ Hyundai Motor KONA, finalists of the car of the year in North America

Genesis "G70" and "SUV" Kona's Hyundai Motors have been named finalists in the pbadenger and utility sector of the "2019 North American Car".

According to Hyundai Motor, the three models, including the G70, Honda "Insight" and Volvo "S60" models, have been selected as finalists for the North American car of the year 2019.

In the utilities sector, Acura "RDX" and Jaguar "I-Face", including Kona, were named. This is the second time that the Genesis brand is nominated for the year-round car in North America after selecting the "G90" in 2016. It was the first Korean brand to be nominated in the Utility category.

At the time of the announcement of the "Car of the Year 2015 in North America", two utility companies were added to the truck segment of the year 2016 in North America, reflecting the fast growing trend of SUVs.

Starting with the "Car of the Year 2017 in North America", each division is divided into three sections. Honda Accord in 2018, Car of the Year in North America, Volvo XC60 in the Utility Division and Lincoln Navigator in the Truck Division were selected.
