NEW YORK – Nothing beats cheddar than this …

Kraft Heinz has teamed up with Brooklyn-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to introduce limited edition macaroni and cheese flavored ice cream.

“We know there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than ice cream. That’s why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable flavor of the Kraft Mac and Cheese we all grew up on. with, ”said Emily Violett, senior associate brand manager for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, in a press release.

To create the cheese dessert, Van Leeuwen mixed the flavor of Kraft Mac and Cheese into his ice cream. “Not only does it taste delicious, it’s also made with high-quality ingredients and contains no artificial flavors, preservatives or colors, just like our Kraft Mac and Cheese,” Violett said.

On Instagram, Van Leeuwen called it “the ice cream you never thought you needed”.

Van Leeuwen started selling the new flavor on July 14, which is National Macaroni and Cheese Day. It was made available online nationwide and at their scoop shops in New York City, California, New Jersey, and Texas.

Of course, it sold out quickly. But new supplies are on the way, the ice cream company said.

“Who would have thought that #NationalMAcAndCheeseDay would break the internet,” Van Leeuwen said on Instagram. “We are so flattered by the overwhelming response to this cheesy partnership with our friends Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.”
