Fortnite is no stranger to ties – the battle royale season 5 battle pass has already debuted with flawless Mandalorian and Baby Yoda skin, for example – but his next character doesn’t appear to be from a franchise of popular movies or movies, but from another video game universe: God of the warKratos.
The image, first posted by infamous runaway HYPEX on Twitter, depicted a version of the Ghost of Sparta (in its more recent, bearded form from 2018. God of the war), but with a softer animated style that more closely matches Fortnitethe artistic style of.
Another tease from the PlayStation account hints at Kratos’ imminent arrival again, with an invisible character panicking about “the next guy you pick up has literally defeated several gods with his bare hands in a fit of uncontrollable rage” – a description which corresponds Kratos to a T.
The current season of Fortnite presents several “hunters” of different realities who were brought to the island as a result of the heart-breaking fight with Galactus. In this vein, Kratos seems to fit in perfectly. Having said that, as the main character of Sony, it is a bit shocking that Kratos will be joining a third party game that exists on almost every gaming platform like Fortnite.
It is not yet clear when the Kratos skin will be available, if it will be something that players will need to purchase or be able to earn in-game, or even if it will be available to players on platforms other than PlayStation 4 or more. PlayStation 5. But since Sony’s official account is already teasing the character, we probably won’t have to wait long for a more formal announcement.
