Right winger Kyle Long has agreed to restructure his contract, which will benefit both the triple Pro Bowler and the Bears.
The new deal will free space for the Bears, showing Long is a team player. The 6-6, 315 pound will be back for a seventh season with the team that selected him with the 20th pick in the first round of the 2013 Oregon Draft.
Long started the first seven games in 2018 before injuring himself on Nov. 4 in a 41-9 win on the road against the Bills. He missed eight competitions before coming back to play the Minnesota Bears regular season final and losing to the Eagles in the playoffs.
