Locations will only be able to offer take-out, drive-thru and delivery services, and the restrictions will go into effect Wednesday at 10 p.m.
“To reduce the possibility of overcrowding and the potential for exposure in places where people do not wear face masks, restaurants, breweries, wineries and bars will only be able to offer take-out, drive-thru and delivery service, “Public Health Department said in a press release. “Wineries and breweries can continue their retail operations by adhering to current protocols. In-person meals will not be permitted, at a minimum, for the next 3 weeks.”

Authorities had warned of further restrictions earlier in the week if the county’s five-day average of new cases was over 4,000. Sunday’s five-day average was 4,097 cases.
Al fresco dining has helped restaurants stay in business during the pandemic, and cities have tried to help by shutting off traffic so businesses can set up tables outside.
Now, businesses that have been losing money for months and struggling to keep their doors open may not survive.
“It’s really devastating. Our industry has been deeply affected by the pandemic, ”said Karen Ross, owner of Tallyrand Restaurant in Burbank. “Our team and the hundreds of thousands of people who work in the restaurant industry are simply in shock at the news that we are going to be closed again.”
A curfew for businesses in the county had been in effect since Friday evening. Restaurants, brasseries, wineries and other non-essential establishments have been ordered to close between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Most of California, including Los Angeles County, has been under curfew since 10 p.m. Saturday night.
