The LaGrange Police Department arrested a man Tuesday night following a call to respond to shots fired at a vehicle.
Officers intervened in the 214 East Render Street area and located the suspect, Antione Dorsey, 30, of LaGrange, standing on the front porch of the residence. Dorsey matched the victim’s description of the suspect, and officers observed shell casings in the yard, which matched what the victim had reported.
As officers approached the residence, Dorsey allegedly pulled a gun from her belt and dropped it inside the residence, according to a press release from the LPD.
Dorsey resisted arrest as police attempted to arrest her, the statement said. The weapon was collected from the owner.
Marijuana and other drug related items were also found on Dorsey during the arrest.
Dorsey has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm while committing certain crimes, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and obstruction.
