Old Los Angeles Lakers Star Lamar Odom defeated Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Ojani Noa in another bizarre celebrity boxing match.
Lamar Odom extended his undefeated exhibition boxing record to 2-0 after defeating Ojani Noa on Saturday to become the Celebrity Boxing World Heavyweight Champion in Miami, Fla., By Report of the launderer.
The three-round exhibition match aired on Fite TV was one-sided for obvious reasons – Odom’s size and range advantage.
At 6-10, the former Lakers forward landed a flurry of powerful punches and punches that rocked Noa in the third and final round.
In the end, Odom was declared the winner by decision.
Odom was originally scheduled for a boxing match against former 54-year-old heavyweight boxing champion Riddick Bowe. However, after Evander Holyfield’s devastating TKO loss to former UFC star Vitor Belfort last month, Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman was asked to remove Bowe from the main fight and Noa intervened in replacement, according to TMZ Sports.
Unlike Odom, Noa, who was married to Jennifer Lopez from 1997 to 1998, is new to the sports world and has no previous boxing experience.
Odom, on the other hand, had just picked up another one-sided knockout victory over former pop artist Aaron Carter in June.
Ahead of the Noa fight, Odom revealed that he will continue to participate in boxing events as part of his job as a “co-owner” of the Celebrity Boxing organization.
“I am a part owner of Celebrity Boxing so I have to keep fighting to build the brand, I see no problem with that being a businessman,” Odom said via TMZ Sports.
