The Diamondbacks have announced a series of roster changes over the past few days, what were they?
First of all, good day Roberto Clemente! May we remember him for all he did for the baseball world, humanity and the people he personally helped. We should all strive to help others over ourselves. The Diamondbacks and the rest of the MLB wore the unnamed No.21 jersey to celebrate Roberto Clemente. In addition, they each declared the nominee for the Roberto Clemente award from each team in the league.
This year’s Diamondback nominee is David Peralta. You can vote for Peralta or any other candidate here. Two former Diamondbacks players, Paul Goldschmidt and Max Scherzer are also nominated.
Now for the movements of the list:

Although it is extremely worrying to see Tyler Gilbert ‘the name and the elbow are mentioned with an injury, I’m not worried. He has elbow fatigue. It means her body is tired of throwing so much. You have to remember that he barely got to pitch last year.
Tyler was unable to train at the alternate site last year. So, of course, he’s going to struggle with his endurance at the end of the season. I have no reason to worry.
Kevin Ginkel’s transfer to 60-Day IL is concerning. I had said before that he was on the 60 days due to an injury to the arm while you were with Reno. The Dbacks must have needed a spot on the 40-player roster to activate Covid-IL’s Merrill Kelly.
They also still believe in Ginkel because if they hadn’t, they would have just released him. They did that with Jon Duplantier then re-signed it to a minor league agreement. Instead, the team took him to MLB where he will earn service time and money in the big leagues. They did this to make sure they can keep it.
His injury doesn’t have to be severe enough to cause any concerns about his long-term prospects. After all, we know he can excel when he’s at the top of his game like in 2019. May Kevin Ginkel and Tyler Gilbert be healthy soon and nothing goes wrong with their recovery.
As for Merrill, I’m so glad he’s back. I missed his constant presence on the mound. He pitched Wednesday night for the Dbacks against the Dodgers. You can read more about his performance in the series recap.
Finally, the team optional Drew Ellis to Triple-AAA when they called Seth beer. It wasn’t a high profile move, so I thought I’d share it in case you missed it. Drew had a good defensive presence, but it was clear he was too even at home. His strikes just weren’t ready for the big league. However, he can return to Reno and work on whatever he needs in a less stressful environment. That way he can come back next year and be good to go.
One more thing, this is a crazy statistic found by an awesome Twitter account that you should follow, I’m not behind the account, just appreciate it.
Henry Ramos has now reached base in the first 6 starts of his career and 7 of the first 8 games he has appeared in.
Oh, and he can also do this: pic.twitter.com/f9czpQOlwq
