• The Putnam County Health Unit will be holding a Pfizer vaccine booster clinic from 9 am to noon on Wednesday, October 13 at the Knights of Columbus in Ottawa, 10760 Road H, Ottawa. Booster shots are recommended for adults 65 years of age and older and adults 50 to 64 years of age who have underlying health conditions.
Adults between the ages of 18 and 49 with underlying health conditions or who are at increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 at work may also be reminded. Boosters are only available for those who received a Pfizer vaccine at least six months ago. Call the vaccine hotline at 419-538-7001 from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday or call the health department at 419-523-5608 from Friday to make an appointment. A limited number of doses will be available without an appointment.
• The Regional Aging Agency’s fourth annual Silver Birth Foundation dinner and auction, scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases. An online auction will take place instead at j.mp/3iAb06m from Wednesday October 13 at noon to Friday October 22 at noon, with articles available in preview on October 12.
