Very close to the ultramodern Uppercut of Bugatti, his Cameroonian compatriot from Volkswagen, Lamborghini accidentally the hypercar limited edition of Sant'Agata. Called the Sian, the Lamborghini is allegedly a redesigned and hybridized version of the SVJ Aventador. Color us excited.

During a day dominated by pre-production Super Sports 300 Chiron Edition, Lamborghini gave a special glimpse of the upcoming Sian to several Lamborghini owners via the company's "Unica" mobile application before its official unveiling at the Frankfurt International Motor Show later this week.

The naturally aspirated V-12 engine of the Aventador SVJ feeds the badass bull. The appropriate specifications are still under-sold, but the standard Aventador SVJ generates 760 unleashed Italian horses. Unlike the Aventador SVJ, the Sian will also have a mild 48V hybrid electric motor producing a 30 horsepower electric motor, the first hybrid in Lamborghini's long history.

The hybridization of the Lamborghini range is an idea that has been evoked for some time. Lamborghini's director, Stefano Domenicali, recently said: "It is [possible], but with a high-performance hybrid plug-in. Our final decision should combine what the Volkswagen Group could offer in terms of available technology with what Lamborghini's customers are asking for. This is the hardest decision to make at Lamborghini and, fortunately, we still have time to think about all the available options. "

For more pragmatic points of view, Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini's technical manager, said: "We believe that the Lamborghini brand is based on the V-12. And it is clear that we need electrification because we need it to reduce (carbon dioxide) and … to get extra power based on electrification.

The design, as far as we can see it in the unique profile view revealed, is inspired by the Terzo Millennio concept car designed by Mitja Borkert, design manager at Lamborghini. Borkert even criticized Sian's design a few days ago with a quick sketch of his "Y" design language. Unlike the car on which it is based, the Sian is slightly more subtle than her cousin of the SVJ. There is more softened edges than SVJ at an acute angle, although the side sockets are ridiculously large, large enough to swallow a medium-sized baby.

Another leak is that Lamborghini will ask $ 3.6 million by Sian. As for production figures, this is not yet clear. Some articles are numbered at 80 copies. 63. According to rumors, and most likely given the long history of Lamborghini's unique pieces in limited production, all Lamborghini Sian's examples have been sold.

Looking ahead, like many unique Lamborghini creations, such as the Sesto Elemento and the Centenario, the Sian will probably pave the way for the replacement of the old Aventador. The high-end bull has been around for some time and its motor has existed, in one way or another, for even longer. The Sian could perhaps change all that, but not in the near future, because Lamborghini said the Aventador platform still has life.

We'll know more as soon as the car officially debuts later this week.
