Part of the marketing of the Pixel 6 is the ability to customize it, including Android 12 by matching its colors to your wallpaper. Thanks to the latest Pixel 6 leak, you can download wallpapers quite similar to the designs seen in the ads.
From the moment Google first unveiled the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, we knew each phone would be available in a trio of colors. While we haven’t heard anything concrete about the names of these colorways, we’ve seen the standard Pixel 6 in green, red, and black, while the Pixel 6 Pro will be available in silver, gold, and black.
More than any other year of Pixel phones, color is critically important to the Pixel 6 series. Android 12 has paved the way for it with the availability of “dynamic colors” in its Material You design language, recoloring all kinds. of apps to match your current wallpaper.
To take it a step further, why not use a wallpaper that matches the exterior of your phone? In a recent magazine ad, that’s exactly what Google did, showcasing the Pixel 6’s six colorways with matching wallpaper.
Shared on Twitter by Mr Brandon Lee – who recently disclosed European pricing for the Pixel 6 series and some rough camera samples of a Pixel 6 Pro – the latest Pixel leak features almost all of the wallpapers featured in this magazine ad . The only one missing is the purple wallpaper shown on the smaller black Pixel 6, and in its place we find one with hints of gray and beige.
In the original ads, one notable aspect was that the themed icons on the homepage used much bolder colors than what appears to be possible in the beta of Android 12 on Pixel phones today. In our testing, these wallpapers didn’t have anything special to trigger the colors shown in Pixel 6 ads.
This is far from the first wallpaper collection to be discovered for the Pixel 6 series, with a collection of illustrations cleverly disguising the now-centered selfie camera, while another collection uses flowers to match the different colors of the two phones.
