The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Interim Government, Gebran Bbadil, left Beirut this morning for Washington to attend the ministerial conference for the promotion of religious freedom held from July 24 to 26 at the invitation of US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo. A ministerial conference of this type aimed at achieving tangible results that affirm international commitments to promote religious freedom and bring about real and positive change. More than 80 countries were invited to the conference and 175 representatives of civil society and more than 100 religious leaders from around the world attended the conference. Before his departure, Foreign Minister Gebran Bbadil said: "I leave Lebanon for days and hope that the president-elect will quickly finish the history of the figures and will count on the government to set the standard for the equitable representation in our system.I hope that we will end the history of counting in Lebanon and in the region as a confirmation of our pluralism and denial of any religious or political unilateralism. "
