• Packer Historical Center, 112 W. Main St., Anna, is open Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.

• Martial arts classes teaching karate and jujitsu will be offered to children ages 6 through adults at the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA. Classes will be held on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for beginners at a cost of $ 22 for members and $ 40 for non-members for four lessons. Advanced classes will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will cost $ 44 for members and $ 80 for non-members for four classes. All classes are taught by Sensei David Smith, in partnership with Jukido-Kai School-Martial Arts.

• Kinetics classes are offered at the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA and include: Mum and Me (parent and child, ages 10-24 months); Preschool gymnastics (2 to 5 years); Youth gymnastics (6 years and over); Pre-team gymnastics; Acrobatic gymnastics; Cheerleader lessons; Tumbling course; and the competitive gymnastics team. • Swimming lessons are available at the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA and include: Water Discovery / Exploration (parent and child, ages 6 months to 3 years); Preschool swimming lessons (ages 3 to 6; swimmers in levels 1 to 3 must have a parent or adult in the water with the child); Swimming lessons for young people (6 years and over); Competitive Swimming Team (Y Stingrays); Swimming lessons for adults (by appointment only); and private and semi-private lessons available. • Johnston Farm will be holding a fall celebration from noon to 5 pm on Saturday October 2nd. Several activities and demonstrations will be offered to the public, including a stroll on the canal at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. is $ 9 for adults, $ 4 for children 6 to 12, with AAA and senior discounts honored. Johnston Farm Friends and Ohio History Connection members are admitted free.

• The River’s Edge Explorers program at the Brukner Nature Center will take place on Wednesday October 6 for homeschooled students aged 12 to 17 years old. The cost for BNC members is $ 5 per child and $ 8 per child for non-members. • The Sports Collectibles Show will be held Friday October 15 and Saturday October 16 from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday October 17 from noon to 6 pm at the Miami Valley Center Mall, 987 E. Ash St. in Piqua. The show will feature nearly 50 tables lining the mall with dealers showcasing sports cards, collectibles, memorabilia, comics and other sports-themed merchandise for the NFL, MLB, Ohio State and many more. • Jack Pine Studio’s second annual Glass Pumpkin Festival will be held until Sunday, September 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. After 25 years at the Circleville Pumpkin Show, Jack Pine created the Glass Pumpkin Festival in 2020 as a way to help guests, artists and vendors displaced by the cancellation of last year’s Pumpkin Show. SATURDAY, SEPT. 25

• A bingo night will be held at the AB Graham Memorial Center, 8025 E. State Route 36, Conover. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7 p.m. The cost is $ 15 per person and includes 12 games and a speedround. Concessions will be available.
