Liam Hemsworth puts his acting career in the forefront after his separation from his wife Miley Cyrus.

Hemsworth, 29, took advantage of Instagram to tease the release of his new film "Killerman", which begins Friday in the United States.

"I'm incredibly proud of everyone's work," the Australian star wrote on Instagram, adding, "The blood, sweat and tears have flowed from everyone involved."

Hemsworth is portrayed by Moe Diamond, "a money launderer in New York who wakes up without memory and with millions of dollars in stolen money and drugs," according to the plot summary on IMDb.

Earlier this month, Hemsworth confirmed that Cyrus, 26, had separated after less than a year of marriage. Shortly after, he filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences," TMZ said earlier.

The love affair between Cyrus and blogger Kaitlynn Carter is heating up. It became public when a festival of ballotins from the beginning of August in Italy was filmed.

On Monday, Cyrus performed his new breakaway, "Slide Away," at the MTV Video Music Awards, after sharing a behind-the-scenes kiss with Carter, 30. The couple then held their hand while entering the rear part of the VMA.

Carter and Brody Jenner, a long-time lover, confirmed their separation in early August.
