RACINE-County General Manager Jonathan Delagrave Hosts Racine County’s Second Annual Charity Golf Outing on Friday August 27e with a shotgun race starting at 9:30 am at the Ives Grove Golf Course, 14101 Washington Ave, Sturtevant.
This year, proceeds from the event will be used to support a great Racine County non-profit organization, Sophia’s Promise. Sophia’s Promise, in partnership with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, can fund new research, therapies and care programs for Racine County children and their families with type 1 diabetes.
“This golf outing is a great way for our employees to give back to our community,” commented County Manager Jonathan Delagrave, “Last year we raised over $ 14,000 for the Wisconsin Humane Society and we hope exceed that amount for this year’s release.
In addition to over 40 community sponsors, the “Champion” sponsors for the Racine County Annual Charity Golf Outing are:
- Educators Credit Union;
- AW Oaks and Sons; and
- Petland Racine
“I want to thank our generous donors, as well as the dozens of Racine County volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to recruit golfers, solicit donations and coordinate all of the great raffle and hole activities available. today, ”commented Delagrave.
