The last day of competition at the Olympic Games has arrived. After record days in the pool and on the track, historic achievements and inspiring moments, the Games are coming to an end in Tokyo. Following the events, the Olympic Closing Ceremonies will begin at 7 a.m. ET on Sunday.

But first, we have medals to hand out.

Saturday’s action began with the men’s marathon winding through the streets of Sapporo, Japan, where Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge dominated his second consecutive gold medal, beating the field by more than a minute.

Then came the main event of the night: the women’s basketball gold medal game, which saw the United States take care of Japan for their seventh straight gold. Japan’s first-ever gold medal went off the rails in a 90-75 loss, with Americans Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi each winning an all-time fifth gold medal.

Upcoming: The United States women’s volleyball team will be aiming for its first-ever gold against Brazil (12:30 a.m. ET). We’ll also see one of the most anticipated fights in Olympic boxing this year: the men’s lightweight final. American Keyshawn Davis will face rival Andy Cruz (1:15 a.m. ET). Cruz had the upper hand over Davis in previous fights. Davis is seeking to be the first American boxer to win a gold medal since Andre Ward in 2004. An American has not won this weight class since Oscar De La Hoya won gold at the Barcelona Games in 1992 .

USA Women’s Volleyball vs. Brazil

The USA team are looking to win their first gold medal in volleyball, and so far so good as the Americans have won the opening set against Brazil.

Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird made history by winning their fifth gold in women’s basketball with Team USA, which won their seventh consecutive gold, beating Japan 90-75 .

The two veterans, who won their first gold medals for the US team in Athens in 2004, helped the Americans take a big lead on Sunday.

Brittney Griner also did a quality job for the Americans, scoring 30 points to help extend Team USA’s Olympic winning streak to 55 games.

Bird and Taurasi may not be done with the Olympic hoops yet.

Cycling to Gold

American Jennifer Valente won gold in the women’s omnium, placing the United States at 38 gold medals, tied with China for all-country highs.

Ingebrigtsen sets Olympic record

Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen ended his Olympics with an epic performance, as the 20-year-old won gold in the men’s 1,500 meters with a time of 3 minutes, 28.32 seconds.

Kipchoge returns back to back

Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge won gold, literally, in the men’s Sapporo Marathon, winning the home stretch to claim his second consecutive gold medal. Kipchoge’s winning time of 2 hours, 8 minutes, 38 seconds was more than a minute better than silver medalist Abdi Nageeye of the Netherlands.
