Liverpool sent a warning to Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen believes his side can repeat the heroism Fulham showed last season in his Anfield win over Liverpool.

Andersen was part of Scott Parker’s squad that clinched a 1-0 win over the Reds last season as Mario Lemina scored the game’s only goal.

It was Fulham’s first win at Anfield since 2012 and the Reds’ Champions League hopes were on the line.

In the end, Fulham would ultimately be relegated to the league, while Liverpool secured a place in the Champions League on the final day of the season.

Liverpool entered this afternoon’s game after a 3-2 win over AC Milan at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Anderson was an interested spectator of the game, especially in the first half when the Italians scored two goals on the counterattack to briefly lead 2-1.

And he’s hoping that a combination of last season’s win and how AC scored twice at Anfield can provide his side with the perfect ingredients to get the three points this afternoon.
