Living and working in space: radiation

Living and working in space requires human perseverance. Future missions will focus on exploration at greater distances from the Earth; on the Moon then on Mars. These missions will mean that humans will stay in space for long periods of time. For these goals to be achieved, NASA astronauts must be able to achieve maximum productivity even under the most difficult conditions.
Our research and science allow the exploration of human spaceflight to push the boundaries of knowledge, capabilities and opportunities in space.
