Gavin Garcia became the fifth 5,000-yard runner for the Tigers in program history, joining his brother Gaige Garcia, Super Bowl champion Henry Hynoski, Ricco Rosini and Jerry Marks.

Garcia ran for a record 204 yards and three touchdowns in just 13 carries. Loyalsock had 207 yards in the first half, but Loyalsock was smothered in the second. The Lancers’ Davion Hill eclipsed 100 yards, finishing with 126 for the night in 19 carries.

Hill scored from 4 yards with 2:14 left in the first quarter to tie the score at 7-g. Southern Columbia then scored three straight touchdowns to move forward, 28-7. Loyalsock’s Rian Glunk caught a 50-yard pass from Tyler Gee to reduce the deficit to 28-15.

Gee finished with 142 passing yards and a touchdown.

Southern Columbia nearly gained 500 yards of total attacking (489) in the win.
