The show will be produced by his own Ramsay studio and will find the famous chef in an anthropology expedition through the kitchen to discover different people, places and flavors from around the world. Deadline reports that the show will be premiered in 171 countries and 43 languages ​​on National Geographic.

Each episode will cover three aspects: discovering the culinary secrets of a country as well as traditions and customs specific to the region and finally, the public will assist Ramsay in a friendly cooking competition where he will prepare his interpretations of regional dishes against the classics. The series will see Ramsay thoroughly soak in the local culture of an area to give him the knowledge to compete with local chefs and foodies.

Production for the show is expected to begin in the fall of 2018. In addition to the aforementioned shows, Ramsay also hosted a 2010 series with a similar premise, Gordan's Great Escapes in which he explored the kitchens of India and Southeast Asia.
